Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
In plain words:
CancelPost drafts and posts your letter. We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice. We do not guarantee any cancellation, refund, or outcome — you control the letter and we provide the postmark.
What CancelPost is
CancelPost drafts a formal letter based on the information you provide and then physically prints and posts it to the recipient through our print-and-mail provider. You pay once per letter, with no subscription and no account. Pricing depends on the delivery option you choose: standard post from €7, or recorded / registered delivery from €12. The letter is yours.
Not legal advice, and no guaranteed outcome
CancelPost is a letter-drafting-and-posting service. We are not a law firm, we are not an “AI lawyer,” and nothing we provide is legal advice. No solicitor-client relationship is created. Letters are generated with AI assistance from the facts you supply, and you decide what the letter says.
We do not guarantee any cancellation, refund, or other outcome. Whether a company acts on your letter is outside our control — you control the letter and we provide the postmark and, on recorded delivery, the tracking. For advice on your specific legal situation, consult a qualified professional.
Your responsibilities
You confirm that the information you provide — including your name, address, the recipient's details, and any account or policy numbers — is accurate and truthful, and that you will not use the service to harass, defraud, or threaten anyone, or for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for checking the letter before it is sent. We may refuse or cancel letters that abuse the service.
Printing, posting, and delivery
Once you pay, we render your letter and hand it to our print-and-mail provider (PostGrid) to print and post. Delivery timescales, and whether recorded-delivery post is signed for, depend on the postal carrier and are outside our control. Recorded or registered delivery gives you proof of postage and, where available, a tracking number and delivery signature — this is evidence of postage, not a guarantee that the recipient will act.
Payment and refunds
Payment is taken once, via Stripe, when you send a letter. You see a genuine preview of the letter's opening before paying. Because a letter is printed and posted shortly after payment, refunds are at our discretion — if something went wrong on our side (for example the letter was not posted, or was posted with the wrong details we introduced), contact us and we will put it right.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any letter is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for the outcome of any cancellation, refund, dispute, application, appeal, or correspondence in which a letter is used, nor for a recipient's failure to act on a letter we posted.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies at the moment you purchase.
